Local Love didn't start with a business plan. It started with two women who were deeply passionate about the wedding industry, wildly supportive of each other's businesses, and convinced that Milwaukee brides deserved something better — and that Wisconsin's most beautiful event spaces deserved to be seen.
Alexandria started AURAMKE in 2024 — an event styling and catering company rooted in the belief that every event deserves to feel elevated, intentional, and beautiful. From lush grazing tables to bloom bars to permanent jewelry pop-ups, AURA has always been about creating experiences that people feel. Mackenzie, the heart and creator behind MILK Events, has built her reputation as a wedding coordinator who genuinely loves love — guiding couples through one of the most important days of their lives with warmth, expertise, and an eye for every detail.
When these two got together, it just made sense. They saw a gap in the Milwaukee wedding world — a space for an intimate, boutique bridal experience that actually felt personal. Not overwhelming. Not corporate. Just local vendors who care, in a beautiful room, surrounded by brides who are ready to plan the wedding of their dreams.
Part of what makes Local Love so special is that we don't stay in one place. Each event is intentionally hosted at a different Wisconsin venue — because we believe couples deserve to experience these spaces firsthand before their big day. We're bringing the wedding community to the venue, so you can fall in love with your backdrop before you even book it.

What Is Local Love? Local Love MKE is an intimate, handpicked wedding pop-up bringing together the best local Wisconsin wedding vendors under one roof. We're not a massive bridal expo with hundreds of booths and overwhelming crowds — we're a curated, boutique experience designed to feel personal, elevated, and fun. Think great vibes, beautiful displays, and real conversations with vendors who genuinely love what they do. And we didn't stop there — we're also talking a photo booth, light hors d'oeuvres, a free bloom bar, tote bags stuffed with goodies and exclusive vendor offers, and everything you need to start planning your dream wedding. Part pop-up, part party, completely Local Love. This is wedding planning the way it should feel.

Come ready to be inspired. Walk through a beautifully styled space filled with Wisconsin's best photographers, florists, caterers, beauty artists, jewelers, planners, and more — all in one afternoon. Local Love was built by vendors, for vendors. We know what it feels like to pour your heart into your business and want a space to show it off to the right people. Our pop-up is intentionally small — so every booth gets real attention, real foot traffic, and real connections. No getting lost in a sea of 200 tables. Just you, your work, and brides who are ready to book. And we don't stay in one place — we travel to different venues across Milwaukee and the surrounding areas, so every event is a chance to discover a new space and connect with a whole new crowd.
